In this guide

Trebević

The Trebević cable car leaves from the old-town side of Sarajevo for city views and nearby walks. The former bobsleigh track recalls the 1984 Winter Olympics. The upper station sits below the summit; choose a walking route to suit your group.

Igman

Igman offers woodland, open meadows and picnic spots. Choose a short walk and a clear meeting point, bring food and supplies, and arrange return transport before setting off, especially if your walk ends elsewhere.

Bjelašnica

Bjelašnica offers hiking and cycling in summer, with skiing and snow activities when winter conditions allow. For a shorter outing, combine a meal with a selected walk. Match your route and equipment to your experience and the weather.

Weather and transport

Check the weather and current cable-car or lift notices before travelling. For Igman and Bjelašnica, arrange a car or transport in both directions. If conditions are poor, swap the mountain outing for a museum or City Hall.
